The Kenai Peninsula Orchestra is a community orchestra with members from all walks of life, united in our love of making music together.

We have a variety of events throughout the year.  The highlight of our season is the annual Summer Music Festival, or the biggest little music festival in the world – covering nearly 16,000 square miles of the most beautiful place on earth!

Welcome to Musician of the Month – a brand new feature of kpoalaska.com!  Periodically, I will spotlight a different member of our orchestra.  Sometimes old, sometimes new, sometimes borrowed, but never blue (well…perhaps when playing Gershwin!), I am looking forward to getting to know you all better!  By the way, when I say “sometimes old” I mean “lifers” someone who has played with the KPO for more than 10 years  - I can’t wait for us all to get to know each other better.  Enjoy! – Mellisa
