The musicians of the Redoubt Chamber Orchestra are excited to play in KPO’s annual Evening of Christmas performance! This year, concert-goers can expect to enjoy a variety of Christmas favorites, such as Angels We Have Heard on High, Sleigh Ride, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and more. In addition, the Kenai Peninsula Singers, directed by Simon Nissen, will be joining the orchestra for great choral works. During intermission, the Kenai Central High School Jazz Band, directed by Deborah Sounart, will perform and keep spirits high before the start of the second half of the concert.
In keeping with tradition, the show will conclude with conductor Tammy Vollom-Matturro leading the audience in a sing-along of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. This magical event, held on Friday, December 15th at 7:00 p.m. will take place at the Renee C. Henderson Auditorium in Kenai. Tickets to the event are $15 for general admission, $12 for crescendo club members, and, as always, free for youth 18 and under. We hope you and your families will join us for a truly festive evening of Christmas music!
